Important!

  • Never leave your parasol open unattended.
  • Close your umbrella in bad weather.
  • Make sure that the base used for your parasol meets the conditions of use.

CONTENTS of the box
Your parasol.
If you have purchased this, a protective cover.
A metal mounting tube with triangular plate with
a set of 3 mounting bolts (40mm) and washers to attach the tube to the corresponding concrete base
(if you have ordered the TRADEWINDS brand concrete base)
If any of these items are missing, please contact Brands On.

Attach your parasol
We advise you to use TRADEWINDS feet or TRADEWINDS stainless steel anchors. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO CHOOSE THE SUITABLE FOOT FOR THE PARASOL DEPENDING ON THE USE AND THE MOST COMMON WEATHER CONDITIONS.

Concrete base
The metal adapter (triangle) must be attached to the concrete base using the washers and bolts (the plastic washers are placed above the triangle – step1 ). First attach the triangle to the foot. FIXED IS FIXED. DO NOT TURN THE BOLT. Then slide the mast of the closed parasol into the tube. Then tighten the star knob. As a result, the parasol is attached to the concrete base (step 2).

Opening of umbrella
Brands On recommends the following weights:
25kg; for a 1.9 and 2.2 square and 2.6 hex
– close the parasol at wind speeds of 25km/h  45kg; for a 3.2 hex and 3.2 oct
– close the parasol at wind speeds of 40 km/h
60kg; for a 2.8 and 3.5 square and 4 oct
– close the parasol at wind speeds of 40 km/h

OPENING of parasol
Now that the parasol is attached to the base, it is ready to be opened. Untie the cord around the canvas and carefully pull the ribs of the parasol apart so that they are all free (step 3). DO NOT FORCE ! Once all the ribs are free, pull the cord until the parasol is fully open, at least until one of the holes in the mast is visible under the crown (steps 4 and 5). A parasol is at its best when the canvas is properly tensioned. Then insert the safety pin into one of the holes (step 6).

Closure of umbrella
Lift the crown slightly using the rope until the safety pin is free to be removed. Make sure that the closing of the parasol is not hindered by an object. DO NOT RELEASE THE ROPE, but GUIDE the closing of the parasol. Once the parasol is closed, it must still be kept securely closed by means of the ties sewn onto the canvas. A standard shoelace knot is enough. (step 7)

Parasol maintenance
For better protection, the heavy cloth of your parasol is treated with Teflon (which makes the cloth water and dirt repellent). If you wish to clean the canvas of your parasols, place a protective sheet on the ground and then you can use the parasol; in open position, lay on its side. Then clean the cloth with a brush and water. If the dirt does not come off, you can use a mild detergent. DO NOT USE AMONIA-BASED DETERGENT, this will affect the Teflon processing.

Storage
Place the protective cover over the parasols if necessary using a stick or spare ribs, and then close the cover using the zipper. Before using the protective cover, make sure that the cloth is dry.
